As the UK seems to be basking in an autumnal heatwave (the thermometer on the shed is currently reading 39C!) I thought I would take you back to the field behind my previous house.

We’re pretty used to that weather here in Virginia, but having had a taste of some gloriously lovely weather (not too hot, not too humid) recently, the return of the hot is just too much. Although the peppers and okra in my garden are just delighted with it and absolutely going bonkers.
