The sun set heralding this evening was wonderful. All colour and light, mixed with pastels of clouds and trees swaying gently in the lessening breeze.
Lenny and I got a windy walk this morning beneath the creaking trees as we headed past the little church perched high on the hill overlooking the village and beyond. All the scents of the countryside were propelled swiftly toward our noses and we filled our senses with thoughts of what we could chase if we ever released ourselves from these pesky leads. Two more shorter walks followed in the day. We are resting now and wondering what tomorrow will bring.
We didn’t explore anywhere new today but that doesn’t matter. We explored and had fun. It’s not always about seeing new places, although that is fun and exciting. Sometimes just to get out and about is all we need.

And that sunset!
Getting to know your home neighbourhood in detail can also be rewarding as there are always changes, large and small, to discover. Wishing you many more splendid sunsets (and sunrises!)

I agree. One thing that the virus has helped me see is that there is usually something interesting to see close to home, and which I have previously just taken for granted.
